TikTok Shop Black Friday 2026 Starts Nov 11: Get Ready

TikTok Shop Black Friday 2026 opens on Wednesday, November 11, a full 16 days before Black Friday itself on November 27. Retail Brew reported the three-week window on October 21, and the consequence is simple: if your creator content isn't approved and in your hands by October 30, you'll launch into a campaign that is already running.

This post covers what was announced, what it does (and doesn't) mean for Meta, and the backward calendar we'd use to hit November 11 with ad-ready UGC.

stat: 16 days between the opening of TikTok Shop's Black Friday and Cyber Monday campaign (November 11) and Black Friday itself (November 27).

What TikTok Shop actually announced

According to Retail Brew, Patrick Nommensen, TikTok Shop's president for strategic initiatives, said the US campaign runs from November 11 to November 30. TikTok's official release adds the ingredients: LIVE shopping, a "3-Day Delivery" badge on eligible products, box-free returns at about 10,000 Happy Returns locations, and a bigger lineup of retailers, including Sephora, Best Buy, Ulta Beauty and Victoria's Secret.

Shopper intent is already building. TikTok says #holidayshopping content rose 263% in September, and nearly a third of US users expect to buy a gift on Black Friday (TikTok newsroom). A Fenty Beauty LIVE with Rihanna drew over one million viewers in a 12-hour broadcast. These are TikTok's own numbers and haven't been independently audited.

Four stats from TikTok Shop's 2025 Black Friday weekend: $500M+ in sales, +84% for livestream sellers, about 50% more buyers, about 10M affiliate videos

Two details to keep straight. This is the US campaign; other markets run their own calendars. And the end date isn't uniform: the announcement says November 30, while some creator calendars list December 1. Confirm the window in your own account.

It's not a one-off: the Wednesday, 16 days out

The 2026 date follows a pattern. TikTok's 2025 recap says the 2025 campaign ran November 12 to December 1, and the 2024 one ran November 13 to December 2.

Three years in a row, the campaign has opened on the Wednesday 16 days before Black Friday. So "earlier" isn't the news. The news is that many brands still plan creative around Thanksgiving weekend, when the campaign has been open for more than two weeks.

The weekend still matters. TikTok reports over $500 million in sales across the four-day weekend in 2025, nearly 50% more US buyers than the year before, and nearly 10 million shoppable videos from creator affiliates. But the campaign window is where your videos collect views and signals before that weekend arrives.

Why November 11 is the real deadline

Creator content for TikTok Shop travels two different routes, and they have very different clocks.

Affiliate route. Creators request samples, you approve, ship, and they post. AfterShip's outreach timeline puts seller review at up to 7 days, shipping at up to 7 days plus transit, and creator posting at up to 14 days after delivery. Those steps alone add up to four weeks or more, before transit time. Cruva estimates roughly six weeks end to end and puts the last useful sample shipment around October 28. For most brands, that window has already closed or is closing now.

Licensed UGC route. You commission videos as ad creative, review them, and run them from your own account or as paid partnerships. The chain is shorter, which is why October 30 is still realistic.

Our rule of thumb for this route is to have approved, licensed, vertical videos in hand by Friday, October 30. That leaves 11 days to upload, test hooks and replace what doesn't work before the campaign opens. This is our recommendation, not a TikTok rule.

callout: The date to plan around isn't Black Friday (November 27). It's the day your approved creative has to be live: November 11.

The money is also moving earlier

Adobe forecasts a record $275.1 billion in US online holiday spending, up 6.7%, with Cyber Week at $47.5 billion and Black Friday at $12.9 billion (up 9.2%). Adobe also expects the share of revenue from social media to rise 17% and from affiliates and partners, which includes influencers, to rise 12%. Its discount curve peaks at about 14% in early November and 21% just before Thanksgiving, so shoppers meet deals before the holiday weekend.

Costs rise too. In Billy Grace's 2025 data, CPMs on both Meta and TikTok climbed about 45% into Black Friday week. Median cost per order was still about 18% lower that week, which means impressions get pricier but converting ones get cheaper. That favors tested creative. Read it with care: the figures come from chart readings, in euros, from one vendor's unaudited model.

What about Meta?

November 11 is a TikTok Shop date. We didn't find an equivalent Meta start date, so don't plan around one.

Meta's own holiday guidance points the other way: start holiday ads by mid-October so delivery can learn before the peak, as summarized by Adnova. Meta's 2026 guide also says 94% of shoppers look to creators for holiday guidance and pushes partnership ads as the way to scale them (overview). Treat those figures as Meta's own research.

Don't read the TikTok news as a reason to drop Meta. eMarketer estimates Facebook Marketplace and Instagram hold about 75% of US social shopping, per Retail Brew. The better play is one approved batch of creator content that serves both: TikTok Shop from November 11, and partnership ads on Meta. Read how native UGC differs from stealth UGC before you brief, since disclosure and usage rights apply either way.

If your product has to ship to creators, add the shipping time before production starts. In that case the brief goes out earlier than October 26.

How Pay per Delivery protects the deadline

On CreatorPlace, you pay when a piece clears your brief. Before anything reaches your review queue, AI QA checks four things: audio, 9:16 format, duration and brief compliance. Once a brand approves a creator and the creator confirms, content typically arrives in about 72 hours.

A late or off-brief piece doesn't cost you money, but it does cost you time, which is why the brief has to be live by October 26. To compare this against fixed-fee platforms, our cost-to-first-ad framework lays out the math.

What to put in the brief

  • Hero products first. Pick the few SKUs you're pushing and confirm stock before briefing.

  • Three or four hooks per product. You're testing in an 11-day window, so you need variants, not one hero video.

  • Brief the hook, not the script. Rigid briefs kill the native feel you're paying for.

  • Paid usage rights through December. The same assets should cover Black Friday, Cyber Monday and the gifting rush.

  • Offers as on-screen text, not voiceover. If the promo changes, you edit the text instead of reshooting.

  • Clear disclosure. Use the platform's paid partnership tools and keep a record of who made what.

Where CreatorPlace fits

CreatorPlace is a marketplace that connects brands and agencies with creators. You publish a brief, creators apply, you pick the ones who fit, they deliver, and you pay on approved delivery. For a fixed deadline like November 11, that works as a sprint: a defined batch of ad-ready videos, reviewed and approved before the campaign opens.

Working backwards from November 11? Brief real creators and pay only for approved, ad-ready videos.

Frequently asked questions

When does TikTok Shop Black Friday 2026 start? November 11, 2026, and it runs through November 30 per TikTok Shop's announcement. Black Friday is November 27. Some creator calendars list December 1 as the end date, so check your account.

Is it earlier than last year? No. It's the same pattern: the Wednesday 16 days before Black Friday. The 2025 campaign opened November 12.

Does Meta's Black Friday also start on November 11? No. November 11 is TikTok Shop's date. Meta's holiday guidance centers on starting ads by mid-October.

When should my UGC be ready? We recommend approved, licensed assets in hand by October 30, which leaves 11 days before the campaign opens. It's our rule of thumb, not a TikTok requirement.

Is it too late to run the affiliate sample route? For most brands, nearly. Sample review, shipping and creator posting can add up to four weeks or more. Licensed UGC is the faster route.

Does this apply outside the US? The campaign described here is the US one. If you sell in Mexico, see our Spanish-language guide to Buen Fin 2026 creative deadlines.
